Aims:

The purpose of this training is to raise awareness of the risks and hazards when handling medical gases.

Outcomes:

• Identify the reasons for medical gas training.
• Define a medical gas.
• Describe medical gases in common use with their application.
• Identify the hazard warning signs and safety information.
• Examine how to safely move, store and use medical gas cylinders and flasks / dewars.
