• Define domestic abuse.
• Examine the signs and symptoms of abuse, and explore how and why ‘victims’ find it difficult to leave an abusive relationship.
• Explore the myths and realities surrounding domestic abuse.
• Describe the early warning signs in relationships.
• Recognise some of the traits and the psychology of perpetrators of domestic abuse.
• Identify how to support someone who may disclose to you and signposting to other agencies.
