Coaching Others

About this course

Research has demonstrated that although coaching has been shown to be very successful in motivating, engaging and developing colleagues, it is not often used by managers.

This course focuses on the benefits of adopting a coaching style of leadership and management conversations in order to get the best out of colleagues, and goes through how a coaching approach fits in with other types of intervention, using models to support a successful coaching conversation.

NB this course is not about becoming a trained coach; it’s about adding skills to your management toolbox so you can identify how and when you might use a ‘coaching style’ of leadership effectively.

Identify by using the coaching continuum the differences between a coaching approach, training, mentoring or counselling and relate to given scenarios.
